Steven Hickox was born in 1952 in Vermont. His Father was a distinguished professor of Geology at Colby College, Waterville Maine. Steven attended Eaglebrook School, Phillips Andover Academy, Williams College, and Colorado State University. He also attended University of Colorado Law School and received a JD in 1980. In 1994, he founded 1031x.com, Inc. This company acts as Qualified Intermediary under section 1031 of the IRC. Since then 1031x.com has safely handled hundreds of millions of dollars for its exchangors. 1031x.com has now added new services under the name Castle United Companies, including: 1031 exchanges, Investments, Mortgages, Estate Planning, and Title Services. Steve and his wife, Wendy, and their daughter live in Larkspur Colorado and are active in the community including the horse community.

Christopher T. Sayre has an MBA in business administration specializing in finance from the University of Denver. In the past, Chris has worked with start up ventures and in financial planning for fortune 100 companies. Chris co-founded 1031x.com, a national real estate exchange facilitator, in 1994 and has been in charge of marketing and operations since then. He has financed small and large commercial real estate projects. Chris has been involved in the Rockies Venture Club. An organization that puts ideas and people together with capital to create successful business ventures. Chris has a passion for entrepreneurship. Chris and his wife, Nancy, and their sons live in Denver and can often be found at tennis or swimming competitions.

Thomas D. Zulanas has worked in the fields of insurance, finance, and small business since 1984. Tom was born and raised in Chicago and has his B.S. degree from DePauw University. He was a managing partner in his familys Miller Beer Distributorship in both Illinois and Colorado until its sale in 2000. Having been general contractor of one of his homes, Tom enjoys putting his practical knowledge to good use managing Castle Commercial Mortgage loans. When he is not working with borrowers, Tom is busy coaching basketball and skiing with his two sons.
